personalized communications. In 2013, the Ahold
USA divisions sent out 270 million unique personalized
coupons, as well as personalized circulars and offers
delivered electronically to customers' loyalty cards.
Albert Heijn launched a new, value-focused own brand,
AH BASIC, and the U.S. divisions repositioned and
expanded their Simply Enjoy premium own brand both
