Belgium is Delhaize Group's historical domestic
market. Delhaize Belgium operates a wide
variety of company-operated and affiliated
store formats including supermarkets,
convenience and proximity stores, specialty
stores and the recently added discount
supermarkets Red Market. At the end of 2012,
Delhaize Belgium operated 840 stores in
Belgium and Luxemburg, a net increase of
19 stores compared to the prior year
