They are responsible for overseeing their respective operating companies and for implementing continental synergies and company-wide initiatives. Ahold USA comprises Stop Shop/Giant-Landover and Giant-Carlisle. Ahold Europe comprises Albert Heijn in the Netherlands and Albert/Hypernova in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We also hold a 60 percent interest in ICA AB (ICA) that operates in Sweden, Norway and the Baltic States. We are in the process of selling our 49 percent stake in Jerónimo Martins Retail, which operates in Portugal.
