Winemaking began at the Stellenbosch farm of Welmoed in 1690. 325 years later it is
still producing some of South Africa's most enjoyable wines. This proud winemaking
tradition has been built on a strong belief that great wine is created by people who
really enjoy what they are doing. And so creating a welcoming, authentic and personal
environment is as important as the winemaking itself. We believe that this passion for
